Pauline Haddad

Pauline Haddad is a multi-talented actress, director, author, and drama teacher. Her exceptional talent was evident from her very first audition at the Fine Arts Institute of Lebanese University in 1996. She made her television debut in the renowned Lebanese series "Talbin Al Korb" directed by Marwan Najjar, followed by leading roles in children's plays.

Concerned about the instability of an acting career, her parents encouraged her to pursue additional formal education. She subsequently studied Children's Education with a specialization in French language at Lebanese University's Faculty of Pedagogy. This degree would later prove instrumental in her work as a drama teacher and acting coach.

While completing her academic studies, Pauline remained committed to developing her craft through numerous workshops and training sessions led by acclaimed Lebanese and international instructors, including Antonio Fava, Mounir Abou Debs, Christophe Cotteret, and Jean Daoud, among others. Throughout this period, she continued working in children's theatre and television without diminishing her passion for acting and directing.

Her university journey culminated in a final project that showcased her considerable talent: she adapted and directed Patrick Süskind's monodrama "The Double-Bass," earning the highest grade and her teachers' commendation. Additionally, her short film "Apocalypse" achieved notable success.

Pauline's significant challenge was bringing her work to a wider Lebanese audience beyond the university setting. The production impressed both critics and audiences, who recognized it as a mature and distinctive work of art despite the artist's youth. The play ran successfully for two years across multiple Lebanese theatres—including Beirut Theatre, Monot, Madinat Theatre, Art House, and Gulbenkian—and participated in prestigious Arab festivals in Syria, Jordan, and Tunisia, garnering several awards and commendations.

In 2002, Pauline graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy with two degrees: a Postgraduate Diploma in Acting and Directing and a Bachelor's degree in Education. That same year, she began her teaching career as a drama instructor in various schools and private institutes, a commitment that moderated her media involvement without extinguishing her primary passion for acting and directing.

During this period, she participated in more than thirty television series and sitcoms, seven feature films, and numerous talk shows, radio programmes, short films, and stage productions, collaborating with prominent Lebanese, Syrian, Egyptian, and Iranian directors.

In 2003, she was commissioned to write and direct children's plays for Dubai Summer Surprises. In 2010 and 2011, she was selected by the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation to write and direct plays celebrating Mother Language Day.

Despite her diverse professional commitments and frequent international work, Pauline Haddad has remained dedicated to advancing the profile of Lebanese artists and actresses. Prioritizing quality over quantity in her role selection, she founded "Polygon" in 2010, a specialized acting and casting studio devoted to identifying and developing talent, providing coaching, and casting for commercials, films, and television series.

Pauline currently continues her successful role as Zeinab in the series "Al Ghaliboun," dedicating herself fully to her acting career and pursuing further professional achievements.
