Nada Abou Farhat

Nada Abou Farhat is one of the most respected and beloved actresses working in Lebanon and the Levant today. Born on September 1st in Dbayeh, Lebanon, she launched her career in television while still in her first year of dramatic arts studies. Over more than 18 years of performance, Nada has excelled in diverse roles across television series, theatre, and film, working under the direction of renowned filmmakers including Raymond Gebara, Nidal Al Ashkar, Jawad Al Asadi, Lina Khoury, Philippe Aractingi, Elie Kamal, Mahmoud Hojeij, Layth Hajjo, Mohamed Sami, and Elie Khalife.

Nada's breakthrough in cinema came in 2007 when she portrayed Zeina in the feature film "Under the Bombs," a role for which she received multiple awards including Best Actress at international film festivals in Dubai, Oran, and Thessaloniki. Committed to developing her craft, she regularly trains in vocal technique, dance, and movement. In 2013, she participated in the international program "Dancing with the Stars," demonstrating her passion for dance, and later that year she took on the role of Chahrazad in the Ramadan series "Louaabat Al Mawt."

In 2014, Nada delivered what many consider her finest stage performance in Lina Khoury's acclaimed production "Majnoun Yehki," for which she was awarded Best Arab Female Actress. She has since appeared in three Lebanese films: "Stable Unstable" directed by Mahmoud Hojeij, "Nesswen" directed by Sam Andraous, and "The Void" written by Georges Khabbaz and directed by seven NDU graduate directors. She also appeared in the Egyptian series "Kalam Aala Warak."

In 2015, Nada starred in the social comedy "Single, Married, Divorced/Yalla 3a2belkoun," playing a woman navigating issues of intimacy and commitment. Her short dance film "Revoltango," written and directed by Elie Kamal, was selected for competition at DIFF. She served as a jury member for short films at CIFF and performed in "One Night on Broadway," directed by Roy Khoury, where she danced and sang live on stage in two well-known Broadway musical scenes for the first time.

More recently, Nada appeared in "Single, Married, Divorced 2/Yalla 3a2belkoun Chabeb," directed by Shady Hanna, and "The Other Side of November" directed by Maryanne Zehil.
