Jean-Paul Osta

Jean Paul Osta is a Lebanese-Canadian actor, theatre artist, and director based in Montreal. Trained in dramatic arts and actor training at Lebanese University, Jean Paul holds a Master’s degree in Actor Training and a Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapies – Drama Therapy from Concordia University.

His acting practice is rooted in physicality, emotional truth, and a deep interest in the human experience. His theatre credits include Antigone, The Visit, Rumors, Plaza Suite, Auto-da-Fe, Opera Antar wa Abla, Mashaa’, and A Mollusk Theory, alongside his work as a director and assistant director on productions including Tales of Freedom and Shakespeare & The Pearly Gates.

Jean Paul has also worked across film and television, including lead roles in the short films Yes, Grandma!, ALLO, and Death and the Maiden, as well as a principal role in a stand-up comedy sketch series.

Working across Arabic, French, and English, Jean Paul brings a multicultural and multilingual perspective to his practice. His artistic work is driven by a desire to explore complex characters, human relationships, identity, and stories that connect personal experience with broader social realities.
