Ousama Shaaban

Ousama Bahij Shaaban is a Lebanese actor, TV/film director, and arts instructor. He holds a Diploma of Higher Education in Acting from the Lebanese University College of Arts (1979–1982), a Certificate in Social Services from Beirut University College (LAU, 1985–1986), and a Diploma in Writing Scenarios and Directing TV Programs from the Arab Training Center in Damascus (1989–1990). Over a career spanning four decades, he has directed programmes and live coverage for Al Mashrek TV, ART Network, Future TV, Al Manar TV, Saudi Arabia TV, and Tele Liban, served as News Director at Tele Liban (2005–2013), and headed the Directors' Unit of the Broadcasting Department at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia (2013–2017). He has also taught theatre arts, pantomime, phonetics, and film production at the Lebanese University College of Arts (1987–1995), and has served as Member and Treasurer of the Syndicate of Professional Actors in Beirut since 2017.
